Evenin' everyone,

Had a lot of fun on this detail, great paint to work with and probably my favorite so far.

The morning started off rough. Last night I went drinking and drank way too much Paulaner. Two pitchers did me in. I fell asleep in South Austin somewhere and woke up at 4:15am with my clothes on. Drove home, slept for a little bit longer and woke up at 7am to start detailing. I was still drunk, and the smell of the Menzerna made me want to throw up. Fun times.

Hats off to PO85RD here, used it for the first time and absolutely blown away with it. Just see the pics and you'll understand.

Method:
1) Foam w/ XXX
2) Wash w/ XXX ShMITT
3) Dry with Absorber and Guzzler
4) Washed wheels with Simple Green/XXX
5) Front end sprayed with Bug Squash
6) PO85RD on CCS White Pad with PC on 6
7) XXX
8) XXX
9) Poorboys Natural Look on tires
10) Interior just a quick Folex carpet clean and vacuum, removed a few scuffs...

Enjoy the pics! :D

OK, it's 7am and I'm still drunk. Not feeling so hot right now.

Looks chilly, but the temperature was perfect!

Looks OK from a few feet away, just a little dirty.

Interior was in nice shape, just dusty and a few plastic scuffs...

We had a stupid garage sale in our gated community, so there were tons of gawkers. I put the car inside after washing and partially shut the garage door.

I wanted to see if I could do this entire car with PO85RD and get rid of 90% of the swirls!

HERE IS THE PROOF! And look how little dusting, this stuff is amazing!!!

About 4.5 hours later, here are the results!

Two things I was missing: a good metal polish for the exhaust tips, I didn't have anything! And some of Adam's Undercarriage Spray. For the rest, this was a great detail!

This has got to be one of your best posts! I am LOL! :D Thinking.... well at least you woke up with your cloths on! I would hope so! :D
 Outstanding work! Good to know you didn't let being drunk and or hung over effect your work. :D Really..... outstanding job!

Just a quick question, was the chemical you used a regular compound based polish or a filler polish or a filler wax, what kind of protection did you leave on the car if it was a compound or a polish and if its a wax how long is it supposed to last and once its been wash and dusted for 2 months how do you expect it to hold up....

Enjoyed the pictures and the results. Nice job!!

I just used SSR2.5 on aluminum you night give it a try in lieu of another dedicated metal polish. It worked quite well for me. Follow that up with SSR1 or PP and it will finish it off nicely.

It was great meeting you. Your truck looked great even after a week of driving. It was impressive.

Maybe you need to get drunk more, with the looks of that Infiniti.....:joking:

Looking great..Indeed! Looks like a mirror. You're good! Give it one more year and you will be polishing the head lights out. They are bad to yellow...
Awesome reflection shot..

Not sure what you mean with this question. For the polishing step, the only product used was Menzerna PO85RD, which is a finishing polish made for ceramiclear paint.

The paint was sealed, not waxed. Should hold up for a while...

TexasTB: yes, get some Menzerna! Did you get the samples that Kirk left???

Jimmie: I like that, the Paulaner/Menzerna combo. It has a ring to it!
