Any one had good results with them? Read meguiars is the real deal. Meguiars Ultimate Black Aerosol Trim Restorer (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-ultimate-black-trim-restorer-aerosol.html) Just seem's to me your asking for trouble with overspray? What would make a tough job eaiser, might make it worse. LOL. Anyway, any real standouts?

I spent this morning with griots black shine trim restorer. 100% satisfied. Gel version. It does not help the XTERRA is littered with plastic trim! Maybe just stick with the tried and true.

A post was just made about the Stoner's exterior trim aerosol with great results. Check it out below:

By the looks of things, it seems to be a pretty solid product!

Used stoners in the past. I recall it was a good product for trim.

The meguiars is definitely more of a permanent trim restorer. The Stoners which is what I normally use works good but won't last nearly as long as the Meguiars.

Here's a shot of the Meguiars on a Mach 1 intake. You definitely need to be careful of overspray with this stuff as its like clear coat lol.

I agree with Justin. It can be a pain in the rear end to get off paint or glass. But it's pretty darn durable. If you use it I would recommend masking off areas around the trim to avoid as much overspray as possible.

I'm not a fan of that perticular aerosol trim restorer. IME it has sort of an unnatural look when applied to the surface. And not only that, it's nearly impossible to remove once it's on there.

I prefer this 1 alot more.

It may not last a year, but it looks much better.

Rather than spraying these products directly onto the surface, can you spray them onto a rag and then apply to the surface? I really don't want to mess having to tape off trim when applying, nor messy overspray.

I don't think the meguiars one will do well with that method. I never tried it, but when I have used it in the past, it never liked being wiped after spraying. It was super tacky and smeared badly, ymmv.

" It does not help the XTERRA is littered with plastic trim! "

I detailed my granddaughter's once, never again. I used Ultima on hers. I know why they they quit making them, and hers was black to boot. But they'll really get up and go, I always tell her to watch her speed.

53616536175361853619As mentioned, I have been getting stellar results with the griots gel. It has lasted months. And love the applicator. Wonder how their aerosol version is? It get's a 5 star rating, but cant recall any reviews on it. The aerosol version...

The Megs Ultimate Trim Restorer looks like it is siting on top of the plastic. It does not absorb into the plastic much.

Yes. I have read it's almost like spraying a clearcoat. On the flipside, I also read it's there to stay.
