I can't believe I forgot to post this earlier, but at SEMA 3D was showcasing what they called SPEED "on steroids" - AAT 505 Correction Glaze.

From left to right: AAT 501 Compound, AAT 502 Polish, AAT 505 Correction Glaze

What makes it better than SPEED, you ask? Well, from what I was told by the boys and girls at 3D, it cuts better, finishes nicer, lasts longer, and is even easier yet to wipe off - believe it or not. I actually didn't believe the last claim, so they let me try it for myself on their test panel. I can't comment on the cutting or finishing abilities, but I can tell you 505 is ridiculously easy to wipe off. Is it going to replace SPEED? No way. AAT 505 is is the next step up.

Coming soon to Autogeek. ;)

Very cool. Interested to see the reviews.

Wonder what's going on with 503 and 504? Perhaps future releases.

Wow! HD SPEED is hands down the best AIO I've used. I can't wait to get my hands on AAT 505 to see for myself.

Very nice. Speed is certainly my go to @ $22.99 for 32oz. My guess is the same size of 505 will be $49.99

If it comes at $49.99, then, not all the average detailers will jump on it like HD Speed. But if it comes to a similar price to HD Speed, then it will ruin the sales for it, so it makes sense to sell 505 at premium price.

Because this product is part of the 3D AAT line, that means it's geared towards body shops. I'm sure the powers that be at 3D will competitively price it according to that prospective market.

He said right in his post " I can't comment on the cutting or finishing abilities"

I have containers 501/502, but never ever used them. They've been sitting on the shelf. Finally I gave them a small trial run on a door panel that had a major scuff due to getting hit. The PDR was done to remove the ding, then I went to work with the 501. It finished off amazingly well. Then I applied the 502 with a polishing pad, I really didn't need it because the 501 finished off so well, but wanted to use the whole system.

In the end it looked beautiful. The scuff, scratches and paint transfer were gone, that with the PDR, the door looked pristine again like the rest of the car.

I'm a huge fan of HD Speed, and use it as my #1 AIO. I'm interested to learn spec by spec how 505 is different.
