Besides the Buick Regal we're doing an extreme makeover to this Thursday night, this one,

Sign-up: 1987 Buick Regal T-Type WE4 - Remove Holograms - Black Paint Detailing (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/sign-up-thursday-night-classes/106195-sign-up-1987-buick-regal-t-type-we4-remove-holograms-black-paint-detailing.html)

We're also going to spruce up this magazine quality build 1973 FJ40.

As you can see by the pictures, this FJ40 is immaculate in every way except the paint needs it's first polish job since it was painted and the tires need some attention too. This FJ40 is going to a Concours Car Show in December so it's important to take it from where it's at now to a higher level.

Looks good in the garage and from this angle outside...

In order to inspect for swirls then you need to know where to stand. Like standing on the passenger side so the sun beats down on the paint.

Not only is the paint swirled-out but it's also not smooth to the touch, kind of textured feeling.

We're going to hit this with McKee's 37 360 AIO which is a one cleaner/wax.

What a cool looking FJ40! Really nice looking build.

The color suits it and maintains a period correct look.

I agree. I'm not crazy about the color since it's a hotrod with modern Chevy running gear but the rest of this rig is truly magazine quality.

What can I say... Autogeek is where all the action's at... both online and in the real world.

Busy night.

Should be fun.

***Update***

We're going to start washing at 4:00pm.

Need to remove the browning also called blooming off the tires...

If you look at the top of the sidewall you can see browning...

Gonna be some work with all that exposed hardware!
Do you have to polish the inside of the doors too?
