The shop that I use for my major engine modifications and tuning held his annual fall dyno day here in Bridgewater MA. Slowhawk performance is always building cool LS based cars and trucks.

Saturday was a beautiful fall day here. Clear sky`s and about 45 degrees outside.

I really was curious to see how the cool air really effected my supercharged GTO. My last time on the dyno the car made 573rwhp on a 80 deg summer day.

Saturday on the same dyno and same tune up it laid down 608rwhp! I know it is from the cool air but I definitely wasn`t expecting that lol.

Congrats! I love boost season :)

I'd love to have nice 60 degree track day if our tracks were still open. Have you run her at the track recently?

Cool dry air is what we love.

Thanks! Unfortunately the last time it was at the track was when it was a minor bolt on only setup (intake, headers, exhaust) on a drag radial it went 12.4s @110. It was making about 380rwhp.

Now with an extra 220 rwhp it should go real good. Just picked up a set of 15x10 and 17x7 drag wheels for next season.

Depending on how hard I push the launch I am thinking bottom 11s high 10s possibly.

Very nice! That cool air is awesome. I'm in for results at the track after you put your drag setup on!!

I need to check my Ultra gauge and see how much more boost my car is putting down. On a recent trip to the Dragon I accidently filled it with 87 and I only had 5.5 lbs of boost available. Quick call to the company that did my piggy-back, 500Madness, and they said to drop in a bottle of octane boost, BAM!, fixed it right away and then pulled 19 psi, a number I had never seen before and that was in 88 degree heat. Now I wonder what would happen if I were to add it now that its going to be in the mid 40's this weekend, LOL!

May the forced induction be with you ===========

I bet that 87 was making the car pull all sorts of timing and fuel out of the tune.

Let it rip!

I'm not running anywhere near 500+ hp, but the last week or so with the cool days has really made my turbo charged car come alive. Heat soak is a distant memory...

Yeah thankfully my methanol injection helps big time with heat soak and detonation

I also love this time of year (Fall),
especially when the atmosphere's
atoms and molecules are made to
start jiggling really rapidly...and then
are directed in a single direction:

Bombardment = Cold

It is a good thing but now that its the winter season the winter shoes are on, winter shoes that are made to get you through the winter and thus, boost can't be messed around with, even with my little 1.4L. I got pissed the other morning because it was rush hour and a truck driving school guy was holding everyone up, stalled it out or something and I nailed the gas and just blew the tires off of my car and this was with my GoPedal adjust down, LOL!

When the white stuff flies, the sport button doesn't get used at all but the traction control is turned off still so I can get momentum in the snow, really does the trick.:dblthumb2:
