It was time to get my 10 year old daily driver Infiniti G35X ready for winter. So I finally decided to use the DP/McKee`s paint coating I've had for awhile. Just a bit nervous as this was my first attempt at a coating. But after reading all the comments about how easy it was to use, I decided to give it a try.

Before applying the coating I took the following steps.

Wash with 3D Pink Soap
Clay with Nanoskin Autoscrub Speedy Prep Sponge – Fine Grade
Polish with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3
Prepped with Wolfgang Perfekt Finish Paint Prep

I decided to use a plain yellow foam pad and it worked out great. This coating was super easy to work with. If you ever used Opti-Seal before, you`ll have no problems at all. It spreads, flashes and even smells like Opti-Seal. I should also mention no high spots at all during the process. After 12 hours I decided to give it another coat just in case I missed any spots. I`m super pleased with the results. Super glossy and super slick is the only way I can describe it. Can`t believe I waited this long to try it.

The photos don`t do it justice. It was getting late in the day and the lighting was not that great. Now to see how well it handles the wonderful New England winter.
