Gtechniq EXO – New Version (SEMA 2016)

We just stopped by the Gtechniq booth and we were excited to share that they have a new and improved version of the already popular EXO. We do not have much information on this new version, however below are a few bullets directly from Gtechniq about the update:

Phenomenally easy to apply
Doesn’t have any of the hard to remove water spotting issues that we have with current version EXO
Significantly more durable
Great chemical resistance
Looks great
Feels great
Pretty scratch resistant to boot

The bullet points sound pretty awesome and we can not wait to try it out for ourselves! The only downfall however, is that we do not have an exact ETA on this new version. We will work with Gtechniq and hopefully we can get it in stock sooner rather than later! Below are some photos we took at the Gtechniq booth:

So we were informed earlier that Crystal Serum Light has won an award here at #SEMA2016 (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/sema2016?source=feed_text&story_id=1338529606166647), after it was entered into the new product awards yesterday ... we will find out more later

I can vouch so far for the new V3 as I have received some beta tester samples a few months ago. Stuff seems nice so far!

It applys very easy. Similar to Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating. I applied 2 coats as you would with Exo v2. One thing i found that's nice is if it's cooler out you can usually apply it in a larger area and still wipe off with ease. I personally liked using a LC coating applicator with a nitrile glove wrapped over it then a Carpro suede microfiber cloth wrapped over that. That way only the suede microfiber absorbs the product and you use less. I found a little goes a long way.

Compared to CSL in looks and durability?

Compared to CSL in looks and durability?

Looks are subjective in my opinion. I currently use CSL as my go to coating because I can achieve a great result in one coat. Exo suggest applying 2 coats for best results. That being said I think they are very close in terms of gloss. Durability i have yet to determine for long term but so far Exo v3 test samples are holding up very well.

Still want to try the CSL Exo combo.
