Hi all!

So, I had my car buffed, and helped my buddy apply some tech wax afterwards. While the black paint on the 2016 Nissan Rogue looks great, I'm just not getting that "pop." from the paint. Can any of you suggest a good wax for black paint? Is Meguiars Ultimate Black any good?

i really want awesome reflections on corrected paint. Would love to hear some suggestions.

Also, what do you all think of a red 2015 KIA Sportage. I was thinking about getting one, but am kind of thinking it's an it girly?

Thanks much!

Are you using ultimate wax or black wax?

What was the process? Product used.

Damn! You guys are awesome! We used Meguiar's M105/205 and then topped it off with Collinite 845 I believe. So, I would like to get some better protection with more "pop." or wetter/deeper depth.

Is Duragloss 105 good?

Also, what do you all thinking of the 2012-2015 KIA Sportage?

Being I own a 2105 Nissan Rogue, no comment on your Kia question.

I just bought my daughter a 2016 Nissan Altima SR in the same Pearl White as my Rogue and the price was so ridculously low I can't post it here.

Check this S & S I did, hopefully this helps steer you in a good direction:

Sounds like you need a final step in your polishing. No wax, sealant or coating will do what good prepped paint will give you.

*nods*
What's the deal with thinking about getting a red 2015 Kia Sportage? Would you be inheriting the vehicle? Or how cheap is it being offered for? I can't help but think there's more to the story, because that's a pretty undesirable sounding vehicle, even for an extra car to commute to work and save gas or whatever..

I can get a really good deal on it from my neighbor who is selling his because he will be going oversees (military). Anyway, 2-: just curious what you all thought of them, reliability and look wise? I am 34 and need the AWD. My wife currently has a 2016 Nissan Rogue which is more refined, but the Sportage is more fun to drive. Anyway, not sure what to get that's somewhat sporty and AWD ):

Hey if you like it then get it. Especially if it's a deal. But I dunno, I'd recommend you get something more like a 1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville.. Based on what you said, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. The ride on those cars is unreal. You put passengers to sleep it's so damn comfortable.. Look into them. You'll love it.

Wow, a 2105 Nissan. Early release, huh? Lol!

I find that no matter what I do, unless the paint is relatively flat, it's not going to "mirror out".

For finish polishing, I've been short cycling Meguiar's M205, and been getting some improvements in gloss. Basically speed 4 on the Porter Cable, and two passes instead of my usual four. Light pressure, and a Blue Buff and Shine Polishing pad.

That's a Back to the Future Altima LOL.

Now you have something to look forard to in 2106.

Unfortunately because of prior committments to them I have to keep it undercover and can't post here until 2106 per my agreement. Sorry. But it's awesome, can you say hover boardish!!!

That's correct.^ As a matter of fact it's 1 of the most important factors. Another thing that helps factor in is having a large flat panel for the perfectly flat paint to rest on.. And at a whopping 18.5' feet, the 79 Coupe Deville has 1 of the longest and flattest hoods ever conceived. The original slogan for the late 70's Coupe Deville's was "This car was born to pop"

It's a whole 4' longer than a Kia Sportage.. Just imagine the possibilities of having an extra 4' of flat land real estate once it's wetsanded and polished to perfection... You could almost park the Kia on the hood of that Coupe Deville.

I bet the 79' Cadillac Coupe Deville is starting to look a bit more appealing isn't it? Lol.

i have a black kia sorento, if u buy the red one used check the hood and front fender thoroughly for paint chipping, mine is absolutely horrible and i didnt see it before buying, now i have to get it repainted. anyway try using the miguiars three pro machine glaze before appying wax that will make it pop, also dont forget to clay
