I just bought a '15 Jeep Cherokee...going to detail it this weekend and I noticed this spot on it. Tried washing it off and it didn't do anything.

What should I try? I was thinking nanoskin then polish then maybe Ultimate Compound or PoorBoys ss2.5? (stuff I have on hand).

What does it feel like? Can you feel it at all? Is it sticky, raised, etc.?

I would start with just a light polish or all in one.

I would apply some heat to it with a hairdryer or heat gun.It looks like it's under the clear.Try to polish out first with a non silicone product.

as mentioned, try using a foam applicator and polish and see where that gets you..

Look at it under light, or with a flash light to try determine whether it is on the clear or under the clearcoat.

If the light changes while looking at the reflection of it on the paint, it is on top.

If it looks consistently shiny in the reflection, then it may be under the clear.

It does look like moisture under the clear, but it is hard to say. It could be marring which is on top.

Feels smooth like the rest of the paint. I'll go easy on it with some polish.

Moisture under clear, final answer. Imo

####. Do you guys think it would be worth trying to get it fixed under warranty?

I'm hesitant to let the dealer repaint it as we all know what can happen with that...either the just paint the door and it sticks out or I get it back and the rest of the paint is trashed from their other practices.

ahhh dodge... always problems. Anyway you should try to heat it like suggested. Best option. polish won't do anything to moisture.
