I just got my 2016 rogue back from the body shop (my mailbox negligently got in my way when I was backing out of the garage. The body shop had at one month. How long should I go before I rub the paaint-- I.e. Waxing the car etc? After this curing period as expired, are there any product that should not apply to the paintbforever more?

You can polish fresh paint. You can wax after 1 week. 90% of the curing occurs in the first week.

My local shop said any polishing was fine since they wetland and polish to obtain the finish themselves. Wax he said should be fine after 2 weeks but if I wanted to be icd give it 30 days. He said the way they paint these days does not need a cure time like the old school days but he understands being overly cautious since it is the finish of the car were talking about

It depends on the type of paint. I had my front bumper recently repainted and I asked them. They said you can put it on right away... I was like hmm you sure? They said wait 2 weeks to be safe. They explained to me that it was a water based paint, and that like Detailsbydnaiel said it doesn't need curring / gasing. So it's best to ask the body shop. They should know best.

Ask your shop.
Any work I've had done it was recommended not to top for a month.

It's perfectly OK to use
Meguiar's M305 while
the paint is curing.

Meguiars M305 Ultra Finishing Durable Glaze 16 oz. (http://www.autogeek.net/megiuars-m305-16.html)
