Ultima is not a brand name that everyone will recognize. In fact, it might be one of the best kept secrets in car care because as the brand proudly proclaims on the label of every single bottle, Ultima car care products are clearly different. A new product release isn’t common for the Ultima brand, and for good reason: These folks over in Tampa take their time until each and every formula is absolutely perfect. To say that their latest product, Acrylic Spray Wax, was met with great anticipation is an understatement. It promises to deliver a dripping wet gloss AND light cleaning abilities, making this spray wax clearly different from the rest.

Last weekend I was in a hurry to wash my car so I could do more important things (you know, because of the impending Hurricane that's headed our way). As a result, I wasn't able to dry my car to my liking, so I had some water drips here and there. Ultima Acrylic Spray Wax is a high-lubricity formula that can be used as a very light waterless wash. Perfect!

The first thing you'll notice about Ultima Acrylic Spray Wax is the viscosity - it's very watery. This is not a thick product by any means. That shouldn't come as a surprise since this formula is 100% acrylic-based.

Spray on and wipe off using a soft microfiber towel. Very simple!

Not only did this product successfully remove the "drip stains," it also left a very glossy finish that's "slicker than snot."

Ultima Acrylic Spray Wax is an outstanding product, and is clearly different from other spray waxes.

Also got a free bottle to review from Autopia. Very surprised at the retail price. Should sell for more ;)

Sounds great--looks fantastic. How do you think it will perform when sprayed over other polymer sealants?

I was lucky to win the contest over on Autopia as well. I haven't tried it yet as a drying aid but it's a fantastic spray wax.

I know it works fine over carnauba and over ceramic coatings

I too received a bottle to review. Stuff is legit especially for the price. Works on glass too!

This is too good to be true. How about durability so far?

Nice little review Nick!

Hmmmm, I spy a dirty blue Mustang in the background with faded trim....

Thanks for sharing.

Any idea if this will be available in gallons? You know, in case I "need" it.....

Dang, that looks like great stuff. Wish I didn't still have over a gallon of D156 left.

I think I got about a month out of it, for the hydrophobic part of it. Slickness lasted maybe a week. I have a thread over on ACC, and a video on YouTube
