Black 2015 Silverado, 2-Step Correction and Ceramic Coating Application


Process:

Wash – Meguiar’s Hyper Wash and natural lambs wool mitt
Wheels – Sonax FE+ Wheel Cleaner & various brushes.
Tires - Cleaned with Megs D143 and Tuf-Shine brush. Dressed with Megs Hyper Dressing 3:1
Paint Prep – Griot’s Fast Surface Prep Mitt and Glide as lube
Paint Correction – KBM205MF on the Rupes 21 with Griot`s MF BOSS pads followed by Optimum Hyper Polish on the G15 with yellow BOSS pads. Tight areas were done with Megs G110v2 and the Rupes Nano.
Glass – Megs D120 and Griot’s PFM glass towels
Coating Prep – ONR wipe-down followed by Opti-Prep
Coating – Optimum Gloss-Coat

Is there a reason you are using the Rupes 21 followed by the Boss 15?

I'm looking forward to the new shop being complete. Looks very bright, the walls shoulld make it really bright. Part of you must be.a little excited to try out the in floor heat. I'll take 70's in WI or MN in October. You should have an AGO open house:)

Forgot to add, the truck looks perfect. I like using a high power LED (Streamlight Stinger) flashlight. It really allows you to examine every inch of the panel.

Thanks! I actually finish with my G15 the majority of the time and will cut with it on a lot of car too. The smaller offset is better for edging and getting into panel bends like the ones on the box sides.

I'm excited to get the garage completed. Still a lot to do though. :(

Beautiful work, Chad. I like those trucks normally but THAT one looks absolutely stunning. And i agree, that workspace looks awesome. At least get the insulation in before winter!

That makes sense on the smaller offset. That was my reasoning for getting the Rupes 15 over 21.

I just picked up some Griots BOSS MF cutting pads and really liked them. How do the Griots MF compare to the Meguiar's MF cutting pads?

:iagree: Well that saved me an hour of one finger typing, pretty much what I was thinking - thank you Sizzle Chest. :xyxthumbs: Love the trucks you guys have but pretty pleased much of our domestic market trucks aren't anywhere near that size! Theres some serious realestate to be polished right there.

I think the Megs may have slightly more cut but the BOSS pads seem to finish a hair better and they feel "smoother" when polishing IMO.

Still need to finish up a few things before insulation can go in. I have it sitting in the next room waiting to be installed though. ;)
