On an '11 Toy Avalon the silver colored trim along the bottom of the doors, the grille and the wheels look like they haven't been washed since the spring; may be water marks etched into the metal or even some left over road salt from the winter although it looks like it's on the surface only. After washing the car with Meg's GC shampoo the marks remain, although not as noticeable. Don't know what to use on them. I have Meg's clay & several polishes including the maroon cleaner wax which is gentle. Think I should use the clay or just proceed with some gentle cleaner/polish? Thanks.

I recently got significant improvement on plastic trim with Klasse AIO. It is a chemical cleaner type polish (no abrasives), but a hand polish with foam pad provided a significant/very noticeable improvement in clarity/reflectivity.

Yup, use the clay, then the cleaner wax.

Would something like HD Speed work in this situation, or is something without abrasives (Chemical Cleaner) like Pinnacle Paint cleansing lotion better?

I would think HD Speed would work better than the paint cleansing lotion.

I used Ultimate Polish on it & it worked well. Thanks everyone.
