I have been using chemical guys maxi suds and citrus wash and gloss and they both leave a film on the paint. This film causes me to leave all kinds of streaks behind on my car during the drying process. Any of you guys know of a high quality soap that dries on the paint without leaving any type of marks behind?

Thanks!

No...
I don't know of such a car-wash product.

Car-wash solutions contain surfactants
that are supposed to lift and suspend
the contaminates off of the vehicles'
surfaces...until they are rinsed away.

It would seem to me that:
If you allow the car-wash solutions to
dry on the vehicle, the contaminates
will just be re-deposited on the paint.

As Bob noted, car wash soaps have various surfactants for cleaning, sheeting, gloss enhancing, etc. These do leaves streaks, marks and "polymer spotting" if allowed to dry on the surface.

To me the simplest solution is to use a rinseless wash instead.

Agreed. ONR or Wolfgang Uber Rinse is safest by far.

Best soap? Pinnacle Black Label IMO.

The only time I have had an issue with streaks is when it is too hot out and the soap dries before getting a chance to wipe it down. The other possibility is if something is on your drying towel, grease picked up somewhere or a drying sheet added in the dryer.

Maybe try some sort of drying aid, a QD spritz on the surface before using a drying towel.

I used CG citrus wash and no problem that's that I am washing a Black car too! To be honest it might be your method that you are using, maybe you are not drying properly, washing under the sun?, hard water to wash your car?, not using the proper towels? To be honest I use CG waffle weave micro fiber to dry the car and no problems. Make sure your towels are clean and use liquid perfume free detergent and not powder.
