Looking at getting a pressure washer soon they have a sale on one at a local store and want to get a foam cannon is a gas pressure washer better for the foam cannon the pressure I was looking at is the

I personally have a gas pressure washer and it works perfect with my foam cannon (2300 psi). I am looking to get an electric one because it is too loud and the fumes are annoying. I have seen some electric pressure washers that put out the same psi. I'm not too sure on how much psi is needed to get a foam cannon to properly work, but 2300 psi is pretty rough.

I have an electric pressure washer and it does the job great for me. I'm using a sunjoe SPX3000 pressure washer, 2030psi and 1.76GPM.

If your looking for something to squeeze more foam look at the GPM rating(1.4GPM and higher is what you want). I've also had great success with a small Ryobi 1.2GPM 1600psi pressure washer with the same results.

It's not always about the PSI. My sunjoe is $150 shipped on amazon and does a fantastic job

I have both gas and electric. Electric go with AR390SS or Sun Joe or Karcher

I have the Greenworks 2000 psi which works great for washing the cars. We have a gas one also that we only use for heavy duty projects around the house. MTM makes a special foamer for the electric PW, it's not sold on autogeek and is available on Amazon. PM for the link,it works great. Or you could just use a Kwazar Venus Pro Super Foamer to manually apply the foam.

The only thing I don't like about my gas PW is that I seem to go thru a tank of gas too quick. That and having to start it up every time. My electric one can run all day. I use it 90% of the time. I have a Karcher electric and Troy built gas. The Karcher 1800psi, 1.8gpm is all the power I need for cars. I use the gas one for concrete, windows, ect.

For washing car, electric is good enough. Good enough for foam cannon as well. Turning off and on is much easier as well. I have the AR390S. I have a gas powered one as well. The added water volume and pressure is nice but I prefer the electric for washing cars mainly due to ease of turning on and off.

I had a electric and gas powered pressure washer, have to admit that I personally prefer gas powered over electric. I had an AR electrical pressure washer, hate the fact that sometimes the pump will kick up without me using it or pressing the trigger, I had to buy a third party adapter to make my foam cannon work, and the adapters were plastic in which sometime it will not lock properly and will shoot out. As for gas powered the down side is having the engine blasting early morning (my neighbors are a****les so its my vengeance on a Sunday morning) and of course starting it up can be pain in the rear. I had the recoil snap on me when I turned it on, when it is new it is a piece of cake other than that it can be stubborn at times holding the machine with one leg and pulling the recoil with a hand.

you can't kill a generac or a Honda.waiting for my generac generator after 10'years to kick the bucket .I do zero maintenance on it and the same oil since 2 years ago.Its to big and heavey for my transit.Need more room.

I get plenty of thick foam with my current electric pressure washer which is a low end basic black n decker.

I also have a Karcher K3 that I just bought - because I wanted something nicer lol but have not used it yet.

If the BnD can do it, Karcher prob does it better.

I have a Generac 6596 gas unit and an electric AR-383. I'd agree with others, the electric's instant-on/off is appealing and near noiseless to boot, but the Generac produces foam consistency I prefer while rinsing cleaner faster.

If you go electric, get one that doesn't require special adapters to use the foam cannon. For example, the AR390S doesn't require one. You can simply use the quick connect that comes with the foam cannon.
