Managed to get a 6" GG dual action, 5" backing plate, BOSS creams (Fast correcting, correcting and finishing) and GG liquid poly wax. I really wanted to get the BOSS pads but the shop didn't have them (yet) so I ended up getting the regular 5.5" GG pads; orange, black, red and microfiber.

Since this will be the 1st time that I polish, do you have guys have any tips?

Thanks!

Nothing that Mike P's videos don't teach you.

Just let the machine do the work, don't polish on raised body lines, and have fun. ;)

Thanks! Should I go straight to the MF pad with the fast correcting cream? The car is pretty 'trashed', lots of swirls and scratches.

Do a test area first.

Definitely do a test section first and let the paint tell you what pad/cream combo it needs. Take your time, and remember to fight the tendency to use too much product (polish or poly wax). Check in on your pads to make sure you're not getting them too hot.

And have fun! You're going to love the poly wax! Let us know how it goes!

Make sure you have enough pads for each step and clean them on the fly after every section or two.
