I'm detailing car that has been sitting a lot of years. We restored it and had painted Datona Blue around 1990. They also cleared it. At one point it was outside and leaves and tree debris etched the outer coat. After being at detail fest in March I've wanted to start this.
I feel the clear must be real soft for this to happen. I cleaned it with Pniacle waterless wash and it looks great at 10 feet. It looks like maybe a metal flake paint. Yesterday I put Maguire 7 on it to nourish the paint. From here I could use some pointers to continue. I took pictures but don't know how to post. Help,Fancy

use photobucket for the pics.

Don't blame the paint for water spot etching or debris etching. Hopefully it'll polish out.
