The Dr said it went perfectly and 12 hours later I can see pretty darn good (considering I'm wearing an eye guard) and other than a few halos & some cloudiness, the recovery seems to be coming along nicely. I have an appointment at 0900 this morning for my 1st follow-up and I'll see what she has to say then.

That's great to hear, Don. Hopefully soon you'll simply be inspecting paint for halo's and cloudiness.

My mom just had cataract surgery on one eye last week (the other eye is tomorrow) and is recovering very well. If you're any better than a 74 year old lady you should be seeing perfectly within a week or so. Good luck!

Good to hear Don. Are you scheduled to get the other eye done in a couple 3 weeks? Once done you'll need wait about a month for your vision to fully set in and your Rx, if needed, to be good to go. If you had ocular implants you'll be golden. They can be swapped out any time too. I did single vision for my father as he was too old to adjust to progressives but he didn't even really need readers. Age 83 mind you vs your young self.

All the best. Let me know if you have any questions.

Don, I'm delighted to hear your surgery went well. I am so squeamish when it comes to my eyes...I don't know if I could handle that or not. Glad it helped you!

Thanks to all for the well-wishes, PDQGP I DID get the ocular implant in the eye and the Dr said to think about getting the left eye done within the next month or two, no hurry, it's my choice.

My vision was nearly 20/20 Wednesday morning and she said the blue tint I was seeing was due to me looking through a yellowed/brown lens for years and that I'm now seeing true colors. The halos and cloudiness will fade out in a week or two. I can tell already that when I get the left eye done I'll be needing readers, but I'm OK with that.

All in all, things are "looking" up :D
