Has anyone compounded the new crazy hard 2014 & up Porsche paint? I've got a 2014 911 Carrera S in the shop & nothing is cutting very well. We've tried m101 & Chop Top with xtra cut mf pads on a pe14, 3401 & lhr15 mkii with various other pads. Any help would be much appreciated! This paint is 100x harder than new Audi paint which the m101 took care of easily. 51744

I think Richy had a pretty hard Porche not that long ago. His Flex wool pad combo didn't cut it. Wow. No pun intended for realz

M101 on a micro pad generally works well for me. I have found the new Jescar compound to work extremely well also.

The only way I have found to deal with harder paints is to stay away from DAT compounds (use SMAT) and stick with the wool on rotary with slow pass rate..
The DAT's break down to quickly... which slows cut rate markedly...
Once the bulk of the correction is done i then drop to foamed wool with DAT this finishes well enough that I can drop to DA and Foam with a DAT to finish.
MF pads for me just don't cut it (no pun intended).
Beyond that for me is optional on the finish level goal.. (if its mine i will jewell with rotary)....

Also, try hitting it with a good deal of pressure and quicker arm movements to cut to first pass, then clean the pad and go back over it slowly. My other idea is the Kevin Brown m205 method.

May try the water spray too?

Thanks for the info guys, I need all the help I can get! I've been misting water after the second pass with m101 right when it starts to dust. Also applying so much pressure I'm afraid I'm going to cave all the panels in, lol. The Shine Supply Chop Top is doing absolutely nothing along with Flat Top!!! I have every mf & foam pad made & the only thing close to cutting is the Meg's dmc & dmx pads. The only wool pads I have are finishing & aren't doing anything at all!

If anyone of you might've had a problem with new Audi paint don't even think about taking on 2014 up Porsche! I just finished a 2013 911 turbo & paint was the normal soft finish we've been use to.

Have u tried the rupes Uhs with matching pads ? Not a professional just think that that polish is designed for hard ceramic clears , might be worth a shot

I did a new Porsche a few weeks ago, GG fast cutting cream worked well on a mf pad. I've had this combo work better on some hard as nails paint then m101. Lay down into the machine with quick movements, blow pad out then hit it again for another pass or 2. Probably gonna take a while to correct

Using Rupes UHS system and Rupes Blue Microfiber pad with the UHS compound amount more than normal, prime the pad generously. It's has super long working time, like eternal. Hope this help.

I've got a few rupes & griots pads, never tried any of their polishes or compounds. I need to place an order with a quickness! Thanks guys for being here, I sure have been sweating over this car.

I agree with the Rupes UHS.. It's specifically formulated for newer-harder cc's. However you do not need to saturate to prime. 3 small coin sized drops, spread, then work in 6-8 section passes.

The best combo I've found on what I have at the shop:
LHR15 mkii
Meg m101
Lake Country thinpro 5.5" gray heavy cut foam
You guys have been the best! Thanks for trying to help a brother out!517725177351774
