1962 Volvo 1800

A nice car that was in need of some love.

Car was prepped by claying first to remove moderate contamination, then IPA wipe down, followed by FG400 on LC orange pad, followed by Essence on a Carpro white polishing pad then a coat of Reload to top it off.

Removed about 90% of the defects and glossy as all get out.

Everything got the once over after that, chrome, wheels, interior etc. paint was a clear coat respray with moderate scratching and lots of oxidation, dullness.

Those are awesome cars...to me, a design that was ahead of its time. Nice work...my only criticism....not enough pics!!!

Yes, I know, I'm bad with pics. Especially before/after, I just like to jump into the project and get a rhythm going.

Good job!

I too love the design on those older Volvo's and they are really underappreciated. There is one that shows up to my local cars and coffee occasionally and I always make sure to take some time and look it over.

It reminded me this:

Cool and quirky old cars...

I did a wetsand, cut and buff on one of these for a concours show about 25 years ago in Oregon.

I remember Roger Moore drove one of these in the TV show "The Saint".
