Hi guys,
just got done with my first paint correction on a 2012 3 series bimmer (will post a show and shine as well). Thought it would be a good idea to lay down some Color Lock over the PowerLock for that extra deep look but I'm pretty disappointed with the results.
The paint was really glossy and slick after PL. After applying CL the surface got a lot more grabby and prone to fingerprints. It also grabs small lint out of my MF towels. Also has a slightly hazy look to it. I could improve on the haziness by hitting it with some Sonax quick detailer but it's still kind of grabby.
Is this the norm with CL or did I do something wrong? Waited 12h after PL, garage was relatively cool.
At this point I think I'm gonna hit it with some Eraser and just put on another layer of Power Lock cause I liked the results so much more... Is this going to work out?
