Polish clear bra?

Can you polish a clear bra or does it have to be a non abrasive wax like Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion?

Check with the maker. Some of the better ones have a clear coat on them but they do not recommend polishing them. I've had them on cars for nearly 20yrs and the only thing I will do is run a buffer over them quickly but never with anything abrasive. Cleaning wax or a jeweling wax quickly and that's about it.

Yea I figure a wax is the only option...it's a 2004 and he is the second owner I don't think we have any idea who the manufacturer is.

I have 3m on my garage queen and can compound / polish etc.. no issues.
Only thing to consider is buildup in the seams, you may want to tape off, likewise you don't want to catch an edge and pull it up.

Disclaimer:
Use extreme caution when
polishing PPFs using the below
products/processes.

•One of the best solutions I've found
is using 3M Perfect-It Machine Polish
(3M part#06064) with the coordinating
buffing pad (3M part# 05738.)

-Use with an Orbital buffer at the lowest speed
and then gradually progress up, if needed.

-This must be done very carefully so that you
don't burn through the film. I usually hit the
area a few times for about 15-30 seconds
each time.

-If this doesn't work the stain might
have seeped through the pores under the
top coat and could be permanent.


•I've also had success with 3M Finesse-It II
Finishing Material (3M # 05928) on a foam
polishing pad, speed 2-3 on the PC, with
very light pressure.

-Make sure to not linger more than 15-20
seconds on any area. You can always go back
if needed..don't want to overheat the PPF.


Note:
Sometimes blemishes just won't come out.
The message to relay in this case is that the
underlying, protected paint has probably not
been compromised.

I have had real good success with Car-Pro gloss pads with Menzerna 3500. It is so gentle, however it removes a lot of defects. Making it real smooth.

I would be very careful with either. Again, been there done this with many of my own cars and if the material is good it likely has a built in protective and clear layer that provide it's gloss but it's not meant to be polished, only cleaned and sealed. Hit it very lightly and then just seal it up or you will risk compromising one of the many layers within the material. often times there's 5-7+ layers within the film.

Mine for example is Premium Shield Elite and carries a lifetime warranty thanks to it's excellent structure.

Due to my below contention...
I'm probably not the person you
should be asking to affirm that it
contains no abrasives.

TO WIT:

It's product description says it won't
remove swirls...but it makes swirls less
noticeable, or invisible, by rounding over
the top, sharp portion of the swirl's edge.

I propose that to do this "rounding over"
takes a little more than solely chemical
action; perhaps its micro-fine fillers plays
an unbeknownst aggressive-role?
