Hey Guys,
I'm a newbie to the detailing world. I've done the run of the mill clay bar/polish/wax before, but nothing with a DA and nothing in-depth.
I just purchased a DA kit and got the CG hexlogic pads. I was wondering how often you guys change/clean pads. The kit only came with 1 of each, so I ordered another set of 2 yellow, 2 orange, 2 green, 1 white, 1 blue, 1 black, 1 red, and 2 microfiber pads. Do you think that will be enough to get through a whole car?
From what I've read so far, cleaning the pad after every panel is recommended, and is best done right after use while it's still warm and the pores are expanded. I have a foam pad cleaning brush that I use, as well as the CG cleaner & conditioning spray. I know that once the pad is saturated it can greatly impact the performance and even risk putting swirls into the paint. Just wondering how you guys go about keeping a fresh pad.
Also, if you have any good tips for a newbie, feel free to share!
