I'm in the process of starting a mobile detail business and I'm wonder how you other mobile detailers go about wash/polishing/wax outside.

Thanks for your time,
jason

Always use distilled water, spritz detail spray on the panel and wipe a few times to cool it down before polishing, work in small sections, wash, clay, polish and seal all flat panels first before it gets to hot.

In addition to Mike's article, I use both an Ozark 10x10 and just picked up an Ozark 20x10.. The 20x10 is huge! Love it.
The 10x10 is good for storing product or just providing shade for yourself on breaks. The 20x10 is huge and can extend much higher for trucks & SUV's

Soak a clean waffle weave in water, wring it out, and lay it on the area you're going to polish next..

It only takes a min. to drastically cool the panel to a workable temperature.

I learned that trick from Darren (Auto Fetish Detail). Seems to work pretty good too!

Just adapt to products that work in direct sun,and you won't have to cover the panels with wet towels.Dont work ahead of yourself meaning apply your lsp to one side of the car and remove before applying other side. And wear sunblock very important. If your not from south fla, then this should be easy for you.
