I've seen several people write that they apply tire dressing such as opti-bond to their tires/wheel wells and coatings to wheels using an air gun. I'm interested in learning more about this method and have the following questions:

Tire Dressing and Air Gun
1. How precise are these air guns? do you end up with a lot of overspray on the tires or paint?
2. Does the application to tires give a better finished product?
3. Is it worth trying or should I just stick to hand application?

Wheel Coatings and Air Gun
1. Does the application give a better finished product? I can see the benefit of reaching tight areas of the wheel which a foam applicator couldn't reach.
2. Does it speed up the process?
3. Is it worth trying or should I just stick to hand application?

If you have tried these methods, what air gun do you recommend purchasing?

Personally I think it's waste of money.
Unless you're pushing cars out non stop.

Personally have no experience with it but I saw competitor detailing supplies using it, but didn't seem impress at all.

Quality products spreads out smoothly with no hassle.
