Hey guys,

So I have a 2014 F-150. I did a full decontamination of the paint when I got it off the dealer lot (Iron X and clay bar). I then proceeded with Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion on a white pad with my GG6 and followed up with Collinite 845 on a blue pad and my GG6. It has been over a year since I did this.

My next wash I plan to Iron X (if needed - I am going to do a test spot first) and then use my nanoskin mitt. Do I need to use my Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion again or could I just go straight to Collinite 845?

Thanks!

No. Wash, clay if it is needed, then apply a sealant or wax.

So really the only reason I would need to polish would be if I had visible scratches, defects, etc in the paint. Otherwise clay --> wax/sealant is fine?

•I always plan on at least one polishing
step after performing the claying process.

-A "swirl finder" light is a god-send
in helping to determine that polish's
aggressiveness level.

Hmm...I was planning on polishing my horizontal surfaces - hood and roof and then waxing the rest...didn't seem necessary to polish the whole truck again considering it was done about a year ago.
