Rupes Nano is great for the narrow roof trim.

Amazing work as always Chad!!!

Doesn't the Nano slow things down if you have to polish so much tiny areas?

The wheels now look small on the tesla. I love the 21" turbine wheels.

I think the Nano may add a little more time but it allows me to correct those areas easier and possibly even better as I didn't have a 1" DA prior, just rotary.

Not a fan of these new wheels. They still look good IMO but they have a recessed channel behind the face that holds water, and in MN winter it will likely freeze and throw the wheels out of balance...very poor design IMO. They were easier to coat though, which Bryan Burnworth also pointed out. ;)

Nice job. How long do you have to wait before applying the second coat of Finest?

Love that color - great turn out. I love how Finest looks on those big sweeping hoods (frunks, just hate that word lol) - it gives off such nice liquid looking reflections. Nice job bro!

Dang! Look at those reflections! Nicely done Chad!

I'm not understanding the coating prep stage. Why would another manufacturers paint prep product be utilized instead of the corresponding product from the same manufacturer as the coating to be installed? Especially a pro grade coating with warranty?

Thanks for sharing.

The wheels now look small on the tesla. I love the 21" turbine wheels.

Those look like the new 19 inch turbine wheels. Tesla owners who wanted the turbine look but didn't want the 21 inch wheels had to go 3rd party (like me). Then Tesla made the 19 inch cyclone wheels, but they were pretty unattractive because they were your basic 5 spoke double turbine rather than continuous. So, Tesla's new offering is the 19 inch turbine.

We'll see if they are winter issues. Just make sure you tighten to 129 ft-lbs!

Fantastic work. How do you like that Nano? Any issues with stalling? Thinking about buying one. Do you think I'd be better off with a Flex PE-8?

Thanks Mike!

As far as the prep goes, Opti Prep is designed to remove polishing oils just like Eraser or any other paint prep solution, regardless of what coating is applied afterwards. I tried it out a while back for an Optimum coating job and loved how nice it was to work with. I can't say for sure how effective it is at removing oils compared to others but it's smooth and not grabby while working with it and it says it doesn't leave anything behind (surfactants). Considering I also used Essence on this car I really didn't even need to wipe the car down, but it's an extra precautionary step and I actually coated the next day so it was also a good way to remove any light dust on the surface. If you haven't tried opti-prep yet you should give it a try. ;)

Just the one Hog, an R6, and an old Arctic Cat sled. ;)

Overall I love the Nano so far but it's not without flaws. It does seem to get pretty hot with extended use and the trigger drives me nuts. Other than that I love being cordless and having the ability to go from rotary to 3mm or 12mm is awesome. For me I wouldn't even consider getting a Flex PE-8 because of it's saddle switch, but lots of users seem to like it. I have the 1"-3" backing plates on my PE14 as well. While the Nano is almost 3 times the price of the PE-8 its a much more versatile tool too.
