I'm having issues....besides my mental ones....with removing scratches from my 05 VW GLI.

The subject matter:

THe door without any work done:

The door after a single pass of Menzerna Intensive Polish and an orange cutting pad on a PC.

Can someone please tell me if this car has the scratch resistant clear coat or if my efforts on this car are futile? What products would u recomend to remove the scratches. I got some other stuff on the car that are really bothering me as well that i'm hoping i can "polish out".

Here are some of the other things i want to get rid of.

They range from people being careless around my car to bird dropping marks.

Are the "other" pics after polishing with intensive? I'm guessing not. What's left on your door looks like finer swirls left by a more abrasive polish. I'd try final finish or 106ff on a white pad and see how it comes out. Maybe I'm not seeing what you want us to but that's what it looks like to me. If it's something deeper then the light swirls try another pass or stepping up to a yellow pad. Of course then finishing with 106ff or final finish. Nothing will be perfect, just close.

only some high end Mercedes and Maybachs currently use scratch resistant clear coat. It is still quite expensive. You just need to work a little more and maybe move to a different polish. Have you tried 106FF ??

well, i got done with it all. looks good, but i still have swirls that are driving me insane. Can i step up to SIP to get rid of them? the most abrasive polish i used was the intensive polish, followed by final polish 2, glaze, and wax, and i could still see the swirls. I want them gone, but i still want paint on my car by the time i'm done. And as for the rest of the marks, they're all still there, some are less noticable, some arent?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
