Hey guys,

I have never owned a car with leather, but my girlfriend just picked up a 2014 Ford Escape with tan leather - it is in excellent shape, but I want to get a good product to really clean and then condition/protect the leather. Any recommendations? Something easy to use is always a plus.

My Merc loves Optimum Leather Protectant. Also GREAT for trim, including the under the hood shrouding.

Mothers All-In-One Leather Care (http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-all-in-one-leather.html)

I have been using the NEW Mothers AIO leather cleaner & conditioner the last month or so. LOVE this product! 10/10

Does not get any eaiser. Just spray on a MF towel and go over the seats. Then flip the towel for a final buff.

I can pick that up at the local car part store...seems like a cheap product though?

May be cheap in price but not in performance! Are you sure this is the NEW version your store has?

Mothers VLR: Vinyl Leather Rubber Care, vinyl and rubber cleaner, leather cleaner, leather care, rubber care (http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-vinyl-leather-rubber-care.html)

That one above is the old version. I can't speak for that one. I have never used it.

VLR is made for use on vinyl, leather and rubber, whereas All-In-One Leather (new for 2016) is for leather only.

VLR has more cleaners than All-In-One Leather does. I prefer All-In-One.

In my experience, price alone is not an indicator of quality or performance, nor is availability in a brick and mortar store.

Well, in the case of mothers AIO leather, "Mothers does know best."

+1. This all I've been using lately on leather seats and even dashboards. Good smell, good cleaning and nice matte finish left behind.

I use this to clean

Meguiars D181 Leather Cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-d181-leather-cleaner.html)

I just picked up a sample of this and I just used it. It appears to be good so far.

Optimum Protectant Plus offers complete protection for interior leather, vinyl, plastic & rubber dressing. vinyl and rubber dressing, vinyl (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-protectant-plus.html)

For something even longer CarPro Leather Coating is a good option. Be sure to try in an inconspicuous spot prior to using it. Especially on light colored leather.
