I recently used some products that I had around the house.

They were:

Paint Cleaner--Meg's DC1

Polish-- Meg's DC2

Wax/ Selant -- Mother's Reflections

LSP-- Mother's Top Coat

I am happy with the two Mother's products but plan to by some Natty's Blue for my two dark colored cars.

I was told that the Meg's DC1 & DC2 were very gentle products.

What would be the next one or two steps up for hand application? (To replace the Meg's DC1 & DC2). http://autopia.org/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif Products do not have to be from Meg's.

Thanks,

Steve WC

Looking for minor Swirl and Scratch removing and a good polish to darken color.

A one step combination or two seperate steps O.K. All will be hand applied.

Just trying to learn and improve on below.

Clearkote Vanilla Moose for Hand polishing, as it contains fillers to hide swirls also and adds a glaze to the mix. Great product.

Meguiar's NXT generation Tech wax darkens the color. I have only used the paste on my car, but I notice a signifigant color darkening the next day after I've used it.

This would be for the red Solara pictured below:

Wash and Clay

Paint Cleaner--Meg's DC1 (Still not sure about the effectiveness of this and would consider skipping straight to polish or replacing).

Polish---Clearkote Vanilla Moose

Wax/ Selant -- Mother's Reflections

LSP---Natty's Blue

Any compatability issue's?

Should work fine Steve. Unless there are defects we can't see in the pics, I would just skip the Paint Cleaner. Defects meaning oxidation or a little fading of the color.

I have no idea. lol But somehow, I'm sure that Killr knows. Man! is there anything that he doesn't know?? We should give him a title or something. Something like detail master or yogi or something like that. Hmmmm but Yogi makes me think of Yogi Bear. He could be master Yogi bear, or Killrbear, wait what was the question again?? My mind wandered.

Any Advantage to using this over theVanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze ?

ClearKote Red Moose Machine Glaze

Red Moose Machine Glaze is designed for machine application, though you can get beautiful results by hand.
Red Moose Machine Glaze also contains color enhancers that create a richer, more saturated color on your vehicle’s dark paint. Dark paint can achieve unbelievable depth under the right product and Red Moose Machine Glaze is one of those products.
