When you use a steamer, I see many people wrap a towel around the head. I bought some terry towels, but wonder if I can cut them down, what sizes are you using?
next question. I know it says to only use water, but is anyone putting anything else in the tank? Mixing a few drops or orange essential oil, it APC?

thanks

As for the water question, that's all you want to put into the tank, you don't want to crystallize the heating elements. I sticky use distill water.

I have a steamer (Dupray) that is supposed to be good with tap water. But, I've gone to using distilled in it. Even filtered water has a lot of residual in it. Distilled water is cheap.

Never put chems in a steamer. Put them on the towels you're cleaning with or the item being cleaned. It's not that difficult if you feel you need them.

I will mirror the above: ONLY water. Preferably distilled.

Yes, cut the towels down to whatever size you want!

Happy steaming!

I've read on this forum that some people add ONR to their steamer. Not me. I contacted the manufacturer of my steamer and they replied that if I use ANYTHING other than distilled water my warranty would be voided. YMMV.

Just use a APC on whatever you are steaming and agitate if need be. Never put any chemicals in your steamer. Only distilled water.

I just got a VX5000 and love it.
