Dedicatedperfection: Black metallic Land Rover CQUK

The owner of this Land Rover contacted me about getting the vehicle detailed for his wife. After a bit of conversation a paint coating was chosen for outright durability.

Paint was in good condition and maximum gloss was the goal.

14 hours spent on this one. My apologies. Only afters on this one.


Wheels and wells:
Wheels and Tires cleaned with D143
Wells and tires D101
Mothers brush kit

Wash:
HP rinse to knock off loose dirt
CarPro Snow soap/foam cannon/Meguiar’s wash media

Decontamination:
CarPro Trix
Clayed with Nano skin medium 6” pad on 3401 with D155
Smaller areas hit with Nano skin fine sponge

Correction:
FLEX XFE/CarPro gloss pad/Essence
3M pneumatic DA used for smaller areas

Coating:
CarPro CQUK
Followed up with Reload
Wheels polished with Essence sealed/Reload

Miscellaneous:
Plastic trim protected with Solution Finish
Tires dressed with CarPro PERL neat
Windows Wolfgang Perfekt Vision Glass Cleaner
Exhaust cleaned with Pinnacle Exhaust cleaner and brightener

That looks amazing! What do use to apply perl on the tires? I use a foam applicator pad, but I have trouble with even coverage and getting into the ribs on the sidewalls.

I used a terry cloth applicator on the tires. I find the stands of the terry cloth work pretty well to get into the grooves of the tire when worked in a vertical motion from the wheels counterpoint.
