Well, my 1st semi truck is in the books. Truck was repainted (single stage) back in 2010, & paint was faded & oxidized really bad. I decided to hit it with Menz FG400 & orange pads. The paint responded well to that combo. The hood & front fenders were easy. The roof of the cab was another story. I'm 56, & climbing on the engine & on the truck's crane to get at the roof was a "bit" of a challenge. (Thanx to my buddy who works there for helping me with that part) Anyway, after IPA wipedown I gave it a nice coat of Powerlock & called it a day.

Looks great man. I'm sure he knows other guys with big rigs like that. I did an international dt 466 I think. A little smaller than that but then I ended up doing 2 more after that. Nice work

Thanx! Yeah, the company has a 1-ton truck, & 4 Silverado pickups that they want me to do. So it looks like I'm going to get some more work out of it.

Truck came out great. How long did it end up taking you?

Yes, & it got pretty hot in the afternoon. I was beat when I got home. Was supposed to do a '13 Mustang the next day, but the guy cancelled. Didn't hurt my feelings at all!

Brought that old school beaut back to life! Does Powerlock change in adhesion or longevity on single stage paints??

Thanx! I've always gotten good longevity from PL, but this is the 1st time I've used it on single stage.

Great work! I've done a few interior's on semi's but never had to do an exterior yet. I'm a little intimidated by them honestly cause I'm not sure what I'd be getting into but would love the opportunity to work on one.
