What do you guys think? Will wet sanding even take of of this job?

If so what grit?

If it won't get them out it will at least minimize them. The problem with bumpers are 1) They are usually not made of a material that you can use a regular paint thickness gauge on so you don't know how much paint you are removing when you wetsand, 2) the paint on bumpers usually has some sort of a flex agent in it so the paint doesn't crack when the bumper flexes in day to day life. Degrading this is bad.

That being said I would hit it with some 1500 grit, checking your work frequently, then some 3000, then compound. Worst case scenario is you have to have it repainted and if you don't try this, you will have to have it repainted anyway. So why not give it a shot? If nothing else it will boost your skills and confidence wet sanding stuff like this.
