I've posted about it here before and I know several members from Columbus here are aware of it, but how about we get a meet-up in place for this weekend or next?

This Saturday (July 2nd) I'm meeting up with one other member here who is making the drive down from Akron! It's not unusual for us to have folks from 1-2hrs away as we can get upwards of 300+cars in attendance.

Reply here or PM if you're interested. We can meet there or at my house in the Dublin area. Either way, look for a Black Audi S4 and a cool Black Camaro from Akron as I'm sure we'll be two of the very cleanest rides there.

Great turnout and a great time for all. Don, it was my pleasure meeting you and seeing your great nicely done 5th Generation.

It was a blast! I love road trips and the C&C lasted long enough that we got to see a bunch of great cars and meet some really cool guys, but not so long that you get bored. There were always new cars coming in to look at and even the coffee was good.

Your S4 was immaculate and when you would goose it on the highway, you could tell that it was a screamer, quiet exhaust, quiet engine, but nothing subtle about it's acceleration - I had to drop a gear or so to keep up. It was really cool seeing 4 Cobra roadsters in the same place and even the Mustangs were nice - a little loud when they left, but nice, especially the low profile, "No Bling" 'vette killer you showed me. It shows you who can walk the walk, and who's all talk.

I shocked the wife when I got home around 1:30/2:00, she thought I was going to be out until midnight or so LOL, One cool thing, I averaged 29.2 mpg travelling about 75 mph the whole way (lots of Troopers, but they didn't bother with me only going 5 over).

I know it shouldn't surprise me, but there were a bunch of cars that weren't "Close Up" cars ... meaning they looked good at 10+ feet, but when you got up close ... SWIRLS!

The pics you took look great. They make my car look better than it is, what with it's washing scratches on the hood (my bad) and the deeper defects that I'm not going to make myself crazy trying to get out.

But most of all, they say the people you hang with are a good indicator of the kind of person you are and you introduced me to some very friendly, cool, down to earth people ... regular people who will talk with someone they just met like they've known them for years.

I'm hoping now that the wife knows this is only an all-morning thing and not an all-day thing, she'll let me come down on the 9th and we can do it all again and get a closer look at some of those cars.

Bottom line, I had a great time and look forward to any chance I get to come down, the drive isn't bad at all. Plenty of places to stop & stretch your legs, or get something to drink.
