Got the car back from service and jumped on the opportunity to do a test panel
With the car pro denim pads.
Car is polar white (single stage), pretty hard but to date finishes very well....
Process was:-
rotary with denim pad speed 2.5 (1000rpm)
compound was concours v82 (from Waxit Melbourne)
pad was primed with ONR detail spray
compound rubbed into the whole of the pad face
note very little compound required as the odd absorbs next to nothing..
after 8 or so passes with no load I say a clear improvement

i cleared up the one or two marks left behind with a scholl blue spider pad
and the same v82 compound... With a DA 8mm throw speed 4.5
4working passes then 2 light

then refined with scholl spider blue pad and s20black... On DA same speed and method.

finally jewelled with the rotary and some carpro reflect on a black scholl pad (finishing)
spritzed the panel with ONR to increase the work time here to make sure the reflect had totally broken down..

cleaned with ONR

whacked in some 845 just to protect as I get round the whole car...(gonna take 2 months..)
2hrs for the test panel...

its ts a notable improvement so now I have to do the rest of the c class wagon...
LHS OF THE INAGE IS THE WORKED SECTION, RHS IS OEM...

My my take away.. Don't fear the denim pads, good diminishing heavy cut compounds or rotaries..
