How to remove these spots

So I am looking to try and remove these spots off I guess what some would call the caliper hats. The car was just washed so the rotors look weird from water and stuff but does anyone know anything that would work. 4945749458

Clay or a metal polish. First soak it with an APC.

like a clay bar... something tells me that won't have any effect on this.

Something like iron ex would work. Also if you don't paint the hat those spots will return.

Iron X will probably take care of it too.

it looks like rust.

Having done this on my rotor hats, Iron-X will only make a dent. You might need to sand to remove them as well. I'd consider painting those hats with a high temp paint. I had to do this a few years ago.

Naval Jelly and sanding..primer and paint with brake caliper paint. If you don't do this, the rust will return.
