Boat Oxidation?

Im not the most experienced dealing with boats and Gel coats but I have had some decent outcomes. That being said i came across some severe oxidation that is blurry, I tried compounding it and it brought out the color but not the haze or cloudiness. Wondering whats the best approach in restoring the gel coat to its "original" persay condition of the color and clarity. I want to achieve that brand new wet look that the customer wants. Would I have to wetsand at 1500-2000 grit then compound? Help!! Thanks! Attached some photos for reference!493984939949400

It could be in the gel coat .That might be the next thing to try. Small test spot will tell you if you need to go forward with that process.
