Hey guys, I've got a truck lined up in about 5hrs. And I' procrastinated on cleaning my pads [the ones I like the most] until last minute [last night]
I wringed them out against the grit guard and let them strain overnight. But as expected they're currently still way too wet. The sun just came out so that should help I guess.

I'm going to put them on the buffer to get as much water out of them right now. Do you think they have a chance to be fully dry in about 5hrs time? Or am I screwed? I shouldn't really put them in the dryer right?

Rotary buffer then put them inside a vehicle parked in the sun

Spinning on a rotary gets most the water out. I place mine on a wire rack to dry too. If you put a fan blowing air over them it would help speed things up. You could always toss them in the dryer too...I never do but it should be fine. I know Megs places theirs in the dryer with no issues.

Just looking at another thread on this subject......do you have a food dehydrator?

I put mine on the air vents in my house. Dries in no time!

Hmm.. I don't have a rotary, but the G21 did what it could.

Then I pressed them down on the waffle weave. This helped pretty good I think.

Now they're baking in the sun. I'm going to have to keep an eye on them and make sure the wind doesn't blow them away onto the ground. They feel like they have a decent chance to make the time.. But we all know that last bit of remaining moisture is a dealbreaker, so if I have to finish them off in the dryer I guess I'll do it on low.

I also don't have a large enough fan. Just a small dusty 1. Thanks for the replies.👍🏽

It's gonna be a hot one today, I feel like you can just let them sit outside for a bit and they should be dry. I'm over by LAX and the sun is already blasting

Ikr. It's borderline crazy hot. I'm suposed to start @2:30 and this is happening outside.😏The truck is dark green, might as well be black. Oh and by the way it's like a 1952 Chevy classic. Here comes a possible curveball. Lol.

Do not dry your foam pads in the sun, unless you want pre-mature failure of your pads. The UV will break down the foam. This of course will not happen right away, but don't make it a habit of drying your pads.

I've got one that I use for dehydrating peppers and beef jerky. Maybe i'll try pads

Really? Hmm 1st I've heard of that. I'll keep it in mind. Thx.
Btw they're just about completely dry right now. Just like clothes on a clothes line would:)

I don't know about you guys, but if I had 1 of those dehydrators it would be full of jerky. Sounds like heaven.

Yes spin them out in your polisher. I have the Grit Guard pad cleaner and love it!

They don't have to be 100% dry before next use.
