If you didn't have either, and one or the other was next on the to purchase list what would it be? I would use a Tornador for cleaning cracks, and nooks and such. I would also use it on stains on carpet and seats.

A steamer would be used used on stains on carpet and seats, and maybe the same nooks?

So...what would you do?
Thanks

They are both great. I use them both. Depending on your air compressor situation would be my determination for which to buy. I mostly use my Tornador to pre-treat carpets with Folex and the steam for nooks and crannies. My only complaint with the Tornador is the fact that it atomizes the cleaner and that floats all over the windows making my job a little harder. Not to mention the cloud of APC i'm breathing in.

The air compressor is an issue. Part of the purchase price of a Tornador would be a new compressor.

I don't have an air compressor.

I have a steamer and I'm very happy with it. I use it around the house more than the interior of my car. It has enough pressure to blow debris out of cervices if I needed it to. It works wonders for stains and great for killing bacteria (headliner, seats, steering wheel, etc.)

What McCulloch steamer is everyone using?

I just bought the MC 1385 last week. I've only used it once and it worked well.
