What is the one product or piece of equipment that you would recommend to another detailer that they should have in their detailing arsenal? Is there something that completely stands out from the rest that you could not be without? What is it and why?

Probably my Porter Cable. Just because I can do so much with it. Sand, compound, polish, wax, deep clean tires, scrub carpet, and upholstery. Then there household chores it can tackle! The PC is also reliable, durable, and double insulated against shock.

If you are a Waterlesss/Rinseless Detailer I recommend Meguiars D114 Rinse Free Express Wash.

Meguiars Rinse Free Express Wash, rinseless car wash, no rinse (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-rinsefree-express-wash.html)

If you wash cars the traditional way with a bucket and a hose I recommend the Synthetic Sheepskin Wash Pad

Synthetic Sheepskin Wash Pad (http://www.autogeek.net/sheepskin-wash-pad.html)

Microfiber towels. With a microfiber towel and water, you can clean pretty much anything to 90% clean or more.

I have a collapsible step stool I bought for about $12 at home depot. It's hard to explain it, but its only about 10" high, and the sides collapse in and folds up to about an inch thick. It's the prefect height to reach the center of the hood and windshield on tall vehicles, and the prefect height to sit down to clean wheels. I on the road and left it at home, and hate having to use the 4' step stool I keep in my camper.

Very similar to this Gorilla one. $10 at home cheapo

a traditional PC style DA and with that said, the GG6.. with all the latest and greatest polishers out today this one is very capable of doing pretty much anything you need it to. plenty of torque/power, versatile with different backing plate/pads/attachments, and lifetime warranty seals the deal...

So far, I would vote for Griot's Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner. I could get by with less than optimal products just about everywhere else but wheels would rapidly deteriorate without this product or something similar.

Without a doubt...
my top product is: Meguiar's D114.

But D114 goes, almost without saying,
hand-in-hand with microfiber towels.

As such, (and if you haven't already):
I recommend it's time to join the
edgeless microfiber towel revolution!

ONR would be my pick. Cleans just about any surface.

If my gallon is finished one day, I would pick up D114 to try
