What would be a good choice for an all around compound between meguires UC or meguires 105? Which has heavier cut? I have a gg6 with a good selection of different pads. Suggestions and maybe before\after or 50\50 pics would be awesome!

Here's a chart for quick reference.

Autogeek Swirl Removers & Compounds Comparison Chart (http://www.auto-geek.net/charts/wax-cut-chart-master.htm)

Autopia has a similar one with more brands and Ultimate Compound.

UC and 105, while using the same abrasive technology, couldnt be more different as far as they way they work. 105 is much more aggressive, but also much more difficult to use. It has a learning curve, and even with that it still is not easy. It has a very short working cycle and is hard to remove. UC on the other hand, not as aggressive, but easy to use as its a consumer focused product rather than professional. Long working cycle and easy to use. Also inexpensive and available everywhere.

In my experience, if an aggressive compound that is easy to use but also finishes well, check out Wolfgang Uber. Its one of my favorites. M105 has sort of been a measure by which other compounds cut is measured by, but its difficulty of use has it not on the top of many lists anymore.

I just read up on the uber and it seems like a great product. Ive been using the 3m perfect-it compound because i was in a pinch and it was available at the body shop store in the area i was working in. I was using it with my dewalt rotary and a wool pad and it worked fairly good. I recently purchased a gg6 and looking for a good compound and pad combo. I have a couple orange griots pads and a couple griots mf pads as of right now. Planning on buying more assorted pads.

I use the Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and Polish for hand corrections. Easy to use, available off the shelf an cheap. I use with microfiber pad and towel to clean off residue.

Ultimate Compound works great and is user friendly on a DA. Especially on factory paint.
