There have been quite a few spray wax threads recently and the Blackfire spray waxes seem to keep coming up. I've been using Megs D156, Duragloss, Sonax, Pinnacle Carnauba, and probably a couple of others I can't remember. I tend to use a fair amount of D156 because I have a gallon of it, but I prefer the look of Duraglass. Well, after seeing all of the recommendations for Blackfire, I threw a bottle in my most recent order.

Holy cow. I was blown away. I used it on my wife's 2016 Mazda 6 with deep-crystal blue paint. This paint is a very dark blue with a lot of metal flake in it. It looked fantastic right off the bat, but a lot of spray waxes do. What blew me away was the following day. This car sits outside all the time and gets quite dusty fast. She drove it to work and back and the dust all just blew off. The car was almost completely dust-less when she brought it home. This has never happened with any other product I've used.

I'm going to have a hard time using anything else now, and I've still got 3/4 of a gallon of D156...

Oh I almost forgot, the real recommendation comes from my wife. She's the type as Mike Phillips likes to say "can't tell a swirl from a squirrel", but she even commented on how clean the car was when she got home.

Gallon prices are a little bit closer. Currently, D156 ($32) vs Blackfire ($50).

I would imagine the mark-ups on most detailing products are breathtaking. This is why AG and others can do 25% off sales without breaking a sweat.

One of the better spray waxes Ive use. And versatile, can be used as a drying aid as well.

Nope. It is 100% safe for all exterior surfaces. :dblthumb2:

How would this work using in between coats of say FK1000,845 or PL? Would something synthetic like WG Sealant Spritz be better?
