Is this a used car? Possibly a cheap respray? Black is a tough color to be content with!

Yes, bought used a few years ago. Before I knew about panit. I first noticed it last year after discovering the clay bar. I was like what is that? There are signs of a repaint. Sandmarks etc. Looked for a salvage hood but no luck in finding black.
The surface is slick, thus why I'm thinking overspray in body shop that drifted onto car before CC was applied. This is a daily driver with 100,000 miles and sits outside 24/7.

hmm... It's possible it is covered by the CC. Have you tried attacking it with the PC?

Yes. Can't tell if it did any good or I did not run it long enough. Operater malfunction;)

I used XMT 3, Is A.S.R. stonger?

Not sure... We have to talk to Meghan and Jason about developing a chart that compares the abrasiveness of our polishes. :p

pic is hard to tell, but a number of things come to mind. First on repaints, it could be a light coat of black and thus the primer (grey) is showing thru. It could be the first notice of clearcoat failure or it could be micromarring from an abrasive polish. Sorry could be no better help.
