Sign-up: 1955 Chevy Bel Air - Thursday, June 2nd

Back in May of 2015, a little over one year ago, we used this 1955 Chevy Bel Air for one of our training cars. Here's the link to the pictures from this class.

The owner Gus said it was hit by a sprinkler and the water left water spots everyone in the paint. So I told him to bring it back and we would get it back to flawless.

***Update****

So here's what we're doing tongight to this $15,000.00 paint job. We're removing a type of water spot called, imprint rings.

See my article here,

Imprint Rings - A specific type of water spot on car paint by Mike Phillips (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-mike-phillips-your-detailing-questions/101936-imprint-rings-specific-type-water-spot-car-paint-mike-phillips.html)

The owner will be here along with one of his buddies as they both what to learn how to machine polish the SAFE way.

We'll be testing the paint in the maner I outline in the article above. I call it,

Common sense car detailing

Hey Mike, I'll be there. I seen the car at the last cars/coffee and noticed the spots on the hood. A similar thing happened to me on the way to the tues show, going down Indian River Drive a sprinkler of well water hit the 48 so I stopped at the Tuscany Mansion (15 min later) and wiped it down with the Rupes 606, man I had a HECK of a time getting the spots off the chrome and paint.
