Carpet spot cleaner removal

Question for the group. I sometimes need to use a carpet cleaner. I have it in a spray bottle, I spray the spot let it sit a bit and use a brush on it.
Now what though, do I "soak" it up with a towel, get it best I can with the vacuume, or just let it be?

Blot it with something like a white cotton towel, the idea is to transfer the spot or stain to the towel.

I use multiple towels to soak it up, and I also use one that doesn't leave soapy residue behind.

Sometimes i'll run over it with the extractor if i am doing the whole section..

Otherwise towel dabbed first then with clean section push down hard, then a final scrub with the towel using fingertips..
