Decided to test on my Camaro while I'm at it. 2 coats of each on the tire. UTTG is definitely darker and shinier.

I might try 2 coats of UTTG vs 4 coats of Tuf Shine to see if UTTG can keep up with 2 against 4.

One week.

Not much change. Maybe slightly less shine. The trucks been a garage queen, though.

2 weeks. Both are starting to get dull. The truck hardly left the garage. It might have 20 miles on it and no rain. I was hoping the shine would last longer.

This is when I would normally reapply one or two coats but I'll leave it alone for the sake of the test.

The pictures actually look better than real life to me. 4879148792487934879448795487964879748798

I couldn't take it anymore. 4 weeks is all I could stretch it out. Washed the tires and went with UTTG on all the tires.

4 week pics.

One new coat of UTTG.

I noticed one tire had this grayish color. I guess it's the UTTG. Idk.

But one coat and it disappeared.

Does UTTG sling? I've been using Griot's tire "coating" and love the looks, but, it slings!!

I want something with at least a moderate shine but doesn't sling..... H E L P ! ! !

I've been using Chemical Guys VRP...water based.....easy to adjust the shine....have not had an issue with sling

I have not been happy with VRP. I cleaned thoroughly and applied 2 coats. Looked sort of good in garage but once outside you could barely tell I applied dressing. I don't like cheesy shine but some shine would be nice!

In your opinion, what makes Perl so much better than Hyper Dressing?

This might be a really odd, highly specific question, but on what brand of tires have you used Pearl? Dressings/coatings I've tried to this point don't work well on Continentals and I'm trying to find alternatives.

Have you ran into Michelins? IMO they're so bad at accepting any kind of tire product that I make sure to ask if the tires happen to be Michelins before I begin making any promises in regards to longevity. Michelins are the only reason I buy Megs Endurance Gel, anything else, even coatings don't last even a week IME.

I've used PERL 1:1 on my wife's Odyssey that has Continental's. It worked fine, tires looked good. But only got a few weeks longevity on it as a DD if thats important to you.

No experience with Michelins yet. So far, I've found Pirrellis, Firestones and Khumos seem to take most products pretty well. Bridgestone's are a mixed bag and it varies by model. I'm striking out with Continentals.

A few weeks is what I'm getting with Duragloss 253 on Continentals. I tired another brand of tire coating (not sold here) a few weeks ago and it looked great when first applied, but after only a couple of days the tires took on a streaky and mottled appearance. Back to the drawing board...

I have tried

Hyper Dressing 1:1
Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel
DP Gloss Tire Gel
Megs All Season Dressing

So far ASD is my favotite, nice glossy shine, and for me it last. This coming weekend will put on Gyeon Tire and see how it does.
