I found some scratches on the hood of my 2015 Fusion,so I broke out the PC 7424XP put on a LC 6.5 orange smart pad and I used Menzerna 400. I did about 5 or 6 passes with pressure but the scratches were still there. So took off the the orange pad and put it on my Flex 3401,used the Menz 400 again and the scratches disappeared.
Where did I go wrong with the 7424XP ?

The results are the same with both machines when I used them except the 3401 was 2-3 times quicker. The PC was my training tool and worked well just slow.

IMO a PC or GG6 with 6.5 pads is where you could have made a better choice. The GG is slightly more powerful but I find it still tough to keep rotation let alone correct with that big of a pad.

I dont believe rotation is the issue. Easy to tell if OP'er put a hash mark on his backing plate. I run 6" pads on my 7424 with ease.

I have both machines, the Flex is always going to be faster, especially at removing deeper swirls.

I have to dis agree with you, the gg6 doesnt have slight more power, it has a ton of more power then the pc.

The gg6 has a 880w motor and the boss machines have a 900w motor.

Even with the 6.5 inch pads it is very hard to keep that machine from spinning.

Then again i am a fan of 6.5 inch pads, some guys are just 5 inch users and when you dont like something its hard to make it work.

I can do anything with with my gg6 as my other polishers can do.

The gg6 will just take some more passes.

The gg6 is an amazing machine. And still use it alot
