This is a review of Son1c Protowax 113. As a winner of 6 containers of Son1c preproduction waxes I was tasked to give a review of some of the waxes. This is my first review of one of the waxes, Son1c Protowax 113. Son1c Protowax 113 is "A hybrid chocolate inspired color charged wax".

I chose to try it out on my red 2014 Nissan 370Z Roadster. I thought the chocolate wax would give my car a darker tone than other normal waxes.

BEFORE

Before application I used Pinnacle Waterless Wash to remove and dust that had accumulated since my last wash. There was a previous application of PBL paint coating on the car topped with Kenotec Show Shine.

AFTER

The Son1c Protowax 113 is a hard wax and was difficult to remove from the small container with my microfiber applicator. After I finally got my microfiber applicator charged with the wax application was easy. Not as easy as a soft wax (ex. Souveran), but easy enough. The smell of the wax was that of Dove chocolate, very strong, a little overpowering for me. I would prefer a milder smelling product, but for those that really love chocolate this one would work. There was no chemical smell at all. The wax hazed over quickly and was removed fairly easily. I did not notice much darkening of the paint, but the gloss was outstanding. The wax contains polymers and the maker said it should provide up to 4 months of protection. I usually put a new coat of wax on my car monthly so I never actually know how long a wax lasts, but I would expect at least 3 months from this wax. As you can see from the pictures, the shine says it all! A very good wax. Well done Son1c.
