Porter Cable 7424 RPM vs speed setting help?

I have an older 7424 and want to know how the speed setting number relates to RPM.
I ordered the Meguiar's DA Paint correction system and the correction compound is used at 4800 rpm while the finishing wax is applied at 3800 rpm.

I don't think I've ever seen the actual OPM (not RPM) for a PC at different settings. All I could find in a fast search was, 2400 OPM>6800 OPM.
